Josef Martinez Hernandez, known professionally as Jose Hernandez or simply Jose, is a retired Mexican professional footballer who played as a forward. He was born on February 21, 1976, in Mexico City, Mexico. Hernandez began his career with the youth teams of Club América and later moved to the first team where he made his debut in 1994.
Throughout his career, Hernandez has scored over 500 goals for various clubs, including spells with FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain,Football League Trends and AC Milan among others. His most notable achievement came during his time at Marseille, where he scored an incredible 288 goals in just five seasons (1999-2004).
During his time at Marseille, Hernandez was a prolific scorer, leading the club to several victories and honours. He was known for his pace, skill, and ability to score from any position on the pitch.
