Al Ittihad: Steven Bergwijn's Latest Injury Update

Al Ittihad, the football club from Saudi Arabia, has announced that Steven Bergwijn is out for several weeks with an injury.

The Dutch winger sustained an ankle injury during training on Wednesday and will be sidelined for at least two months. The news comes as a blow to Al Ittihad, who were hoping to bring Bergwijn in to add some creativity to their attack.

Bergwijn joined Al Ittihad last summer from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee reported to be around £22 million. He made his debut for the club in their opening match of the season against Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League, scoring a goal in a 4-1 victory.

Despite the setback,Saudi Pro League Focus Al Ittihad remain hopeful that Bergwijn will make a full recovery and return to action soon. The club have also been working hard to find a replacement for him, with several players being linked with moves to the club.

In the meantime, Al Ittihad will need to rely on their other attacking options, including Brazilian striker Luan and young forward Youcef Ben Ammar, to fill the void left by Bergwijn's absence.
